Naughty or Nice Challenge #32 - Spooky Sistahs and Wild, Wild, Women!

Hi, it's Jo here to introduce the new challenge. For our super, fun October theme the Troublemakers are celebrating women both witchy and wild!

With Halloween only a few weeks away most of us have gone all spooky and witchy but your card could just as easily feature a crazy cat lady or a bunch of lively ladies on a girl's night out!

Being a Brit, I always tend to think of Halloween as an American celebration which is gaining popularity in the UK. However, after a little research I've discovered that Halloween may have started as a festival called ‘Samhain’, meaning Summer’s end, celebrated by the Celts each year on November 1st. The Celts believed that on this day, the veil between the dead and the living was at its thinnest. It turns out that trick-and-treating and carrying lanterns can actually be traced back to Scotland, specifically the poem ‘Halloween’ by Scottish poet Robert Burns.
Halloween's traces in America go back to colonial settlers but it was the second half of the 19th century where celebrations became more widespread, according to history.com. As more immigrants, particularly from Ireland and Scotland, arrived the spooky celebrations became more popular and traditions such as 'trick or treating' began.
OK, history lesson over, now let's see the fabulous cards conjured-up by my talented ghoulfriends and, BTW, we're using our top-secret witch names during this spooky and magical month. Can you guess which witch is which???
